Everything you need to know before your visit — from cancellations and late arrivals to a few simple salon guidelines that help us keep every Rootbar experience smooth, elevated, and on time.
Salon Policies
NO REFUNDS & ADJUSTMENT POLICY
If you are unsatisfied with your hair, we would love the opportunity to make an adjustment for you within 10 days of your original appointment booking.
We cannot perform any redo services if you or another stylist has made adjustments to your hair after leaving the salon.
Your colour or extensions will only be guaranteed if you invest in recommended products directly from our salon. If recommended products are not used, we cannot perform any redo services complimentary.
Some complex or corrective colour services may require multiple visits/services to achieve your desired result. Your stylist will communicate directly if your goal cannot be achieved in one sitting.
No colour service is guaranteed if box colour is present in the hair, as box colour has an inconsistent nature.
APPOINTMENT & CANCELLATION POLICY
We kindly require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice to change or cancel your appointment.
Appointments changed or cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice will result in you being responsible for paying 100% of the appointment you booked.
Same-day changes or cancellations fall within this late window and will also result in you being responsible for paying 100% of the appointment booked.
NO-SHOW POLICY
Clients who no-show will be responsible for paying 100% of the missed appointment before booking any future services.
No-show clients may also be required to prepay or leave a deposit for future bookings.
LATE ARRIVAL POLICY
Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late may have their service modified or rescheduled.
If we are unable to complete your service due to late arrival, you will be responsible for paying 100% of the appointment you booked.
This ensures we stay on schedule and respect the time of all guests.
DEPOSITS
Deposits are applied toward your final service total.
Failure to provide proper notice will result in the deposit being forfeited, and you will be responsible for paying the remaining balance of the appointment booked.
CREDIT CARD ON FILE
By booking with Rootbar, you authorize us to charge your card in the event of:
• Late cancellations (under 48 hours)
• Same-day changes
• No-show appointments
• Late arrivals resulting in rescheduling

What happens if I arrive late?
If you’re running late, please let us know as soon as possible. We’ll do our best to accommodate you, but your service may need to be shortened or rescheduled depending on timing.
Can I reschedule my appointment?
Yes — we’re happy to help you reschedule. We just ask for as much notice as possible so we can offer that appointment time to another guest.
Will I be charged if I cancel last minute?
Late cancellations may be subject to a fee depending on your final salon policy. Be sure to update the policy section above with your exact terms.
Can I bring someone with me to my appointment?
To keep the salon calm and on schedule, we generally recommend attending your appointment solo unless otherwise arranged with your location.
